Description

There are two things I never wear. The first is perfume. I do shower a lot though, so no worries on that score. ^=^ The other item, albeit essential to many, is jewelery. I cannot, no matter how pretty is looks, adhere to the 'diamonds are a girls best friend' fraternity. What they actually are is a commodity like bottled water, coming about by virtue of some exceptionally clever marketing, usually by those without morals, and mined or supplied on the backs of those not able to defend themselves. But that's just me. Things may have altered a little where the mining (or simple finding) is concerned, but that doesn't negate the history of those bits of glass - and I'm not so sure the morality in the supply - or the hoarding so as to keep the price up - is any better than it was. Course, the plus side of this is I'm really REALLY cheap to keep happy! So what has this got to do with the Burdock seedheads ensconced in the image, I hear you ask....well I don't actually, but it would be a fair question. Well - I'll tell ya! Stick one of these on a bit of string, put it on any of my fingers and I'd be a happy camper. I find these, especially when they're almost at an end and when the sun is shining for all its' worth on the soon-to-be-compost heads, delightful and beautiful. So - there ya go! I'm cheap to keep and with a bit of string and a dead weed, I'd be yours forever! How good is that! Anybody....Somebody!! ^=^ 'Tis raining! I had thought we might see at least a little snow, but not in this corridor of Cornwall. 'Tis warm and after visiting and commenting on your fabulous galleries, I'm off walkies! Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^

It's raining here in the bay too (after the snow of the last couple of days) but this image sure brightens up a dull day! :)

Lovely! shiny and silky and a great warm colour! As you know I LOVE perfumes, but like you I despise the diamond market for the same reasons. However I'm a sucker for cheapo stuff to dangle from my ears, and I've told my doctor that if he finds me without scent, earrings and toenail varnish then I'm on the way out! He calls them my 'vital signs'. This year I've mainly been with the last of these..is this the beginning of shut-down I wonder?
