Description
Yesterday when I was young.
The taste of life was sweet as rain upon my tongue,
I teased at life, as if it were a foolish game,
The way the evening breeze may tease a candle flame.
The thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I planned,
I always built, alas, on weak and shifting sand
I lived by night, and shunned the naked light of day,
And only now, I see, how the years ran away......
Lovely song by Charles Aznavour
I love his voice and accent

Oh stop rubbing it in! ;-) A bit sad and a bit happy, yes a moving image. Nice lighting, seems to me those cobble stones are somehow "inverted" though. Or is that just me?

This is just an 'amazing' looking scene and your works are so true (it mean the lyrics of Charles song - I love this one too, I saw him once in Luxemburg when he was an acteur in a movie (a car scene in the an sub-garage of my office) - he is such a tiny little man with a big heart!!!! I love your artwork, because it is always something special and so well done! Have a nice Sunday evening, hug’s Ute

Wow, we see a different side to your art and it is in all respects equal to your light hearted whimsy. One could hardly create a better scene to match the prose. Your posing is to the mark and the older lady, well you can really feel her feeling her mispent youth.

A very, very fine piece of work! You caught the life very precise. When we get older think back in time! Sweet and bitter...but it also get me to think of Edith Piaf: "Je ne regret rien" (I do not regret anything). Wonderful scene, Steph! :o}

This is a bit different for you. I really like it. Just looking at the picture tells the story all on its own. You did a great job portraying the story within the art. Love the elder lady, she looks fantastic.

Wow! Yet another unseen side of your work handled as masterfully as ever. The set, the poses, the lighting, the characters... it all plays out so perfectly. Listening to Aznavour while looking at this is almost too much to bear! Very moving work!
