Description

An Egyptian Goose and her clutch at the marina one dull morning. The have all grown up quite well, as usually only one or two goslings survive the coots or cats, etc. They do look beautiful, come spring they are a curse. Mating tends to go on all night with raucous calling and squabbling over territory. Especially when the adopted territory is a parapet on your roof! At least roosters sleep at night... Hope it was a good weekend, Clive

Must be a very good mother and fortunate! Oh my, I didn't know they mated a night! As for roosters, they may sleep at night, but my brother-in-law's next door starts crowing at 3:30 in the morning...5:00 this time of year when the sun doesn't rise until 7:00 something. I've got my stew pot ready..now I just have to catch him, LOL.

Such exotic looking creatures! Nothing like it here. We have Canada geese everywhere, and they're a nusiance, but at least they don't scream on the roof all night! LOL! This is a great capture. Nicely done!
