Description

Well it ain't Manhattan :-), Rotterdam without suburbs has only about 600,000 inhabitants, nevertheless it has the most 'citylike' skyline of the Netherlands. Ohhh I already hear someone from Amsterdam or The Hague mooing lol. The Erasmus bridge is the perfect place to get an impression of this skyline. To the right you see the 'Noordereiland'; an island in the river New Meuse. Left is a pier of the bridge. The city is constantly 'under construction'. The cranes in the view are numerous.

Superb view of a very big harbour (one time we were lost in the harbour for two hours).

Beautiful and yes this skyline compared to Chicago is very small but it looks beautiful - I would love to see it in the spring or fall especially from the vantage point of the park, trees or whatever that is in the bottom right of the image. Nice job-

great shot! I was born here, and my grandmother lived on noorderland.... those grey skies were a familiar sight! I still live near the ocean, but on the other side of the world.

Great shot and an impressive skyline indeed.. It looks like I must go there soon, haven't seen the latest Rotterdam buildings, that I have come to realize now.

great shot! although i must complain, the hague's skyline is better! actually, the hague's better in general! (A) at least it looks much more happy and fun than r'dam! :) maar dan moet je 'oh oh cherso' wel even vergeten ;) dat is niet zo goed voor ons imago
