Description

...Left alone with Jason,Medea accuses him of betrail.He answers that he wanted to sever a link that,because of her cruelty,had become a source of disgrace;for this reason, he sought shelter in Corinth. Medea gives vent to her pain: if she has carried out crimes, she has doneso out of love for him. Therefore, she cannot accept to see herself repudiated, and, as the mother of his children, she entreats him to return to her. However,Jason is unyielding : he reminds her of Creon's warnings to her, and repeats his desire to marry Glauce. ...Allein mit Jason, wirft Medea ihm seinen Verrat vor. Jason halt dagegen,dass er sich einer Verbindung entziehen wollte, die fur ihn wegen ihrer Grausamkeit eine Quelle der Schande geworden sei. Aus diesem Grund hat er mit den Kindern Zuflucht in Korint gesucht. Medea verleiht ihrem Schmerz Ausdruck: Wenn sie sich mit Verbrechen befleckt habe, so nur aus Liebe zu Jason. Sie kann daher seine Zuruckweisungnicht akzeptieren und beschwort ihn, zu ihr, der Mutter seiner zwei Sohne, zuruckzukehren.Aber Jason bleibit ungeruhrt:Er erinnert Medea an Kreons Drohungen und wiederholt, dass er Glauke zu heiraten beabsichtigt. ...Restée seul avec Jason, Medea Lui reproche de l'avoir trahie. Jason réplique qu'il a voulu tronquer un lien devenu pour lui une source de honte à cause de sa cruauté: c'est pour cela qu'il a cherché refuge à Corinthe avec ses enfants. Medea exhale sa douleur: si elle a commis des crimes, elle l'a fait par amour pour Jason. Par Conséquent, elle n'accepte pas de se voir répudier et, comme mére de ses deux enfants, elle le conjure de revenir à elle. Mais Jason est inébranlable: il rappelle à Medea les menaces que lui adressées Créon et réaffirme sa volonté d'épouser Glauce. ...Rimasta sola con Giasone,Medea gli rinfaccia il tradimento. Giasone ribatte di aver voluto spezzare un legame per lui divenuto fonte di vergogna a causa della sua crudeltà: per questo ha cercato rifugio con i piccoli a Corinto. Medea dà sfogo al proprio dolore: se si è macchiata di delitti, lo ha fatto per amore di Giasone. Perciò non accetta di vedersi ripudiata e, come madre dei suoi due figli, lo scongiura di tornare a lei. Ma Giasone è irremovibile :ricorda a Medea le minacce a lei rivolte da Creonte e ribadisce la propria volontà di sposare Glauce. Thanks for comments. :):):) gea

I would of named this one: "Child Support" lol... the guy wants to marry someone else? fine... divorce is cruel to everyone - I guess that's why it's the flipside of love - lol
