I'm very sorry for your loss Cheryl. I know when the person has had failing health for a long time and the end was expected, some people believe the sense of loss is not as acute. I work with grieving familes on a daily basis, and know full well that the sense of loss is not diminished at all by the knowledge of impending loss. You are lucky you have good family support around you, and that you are a strong person to begin with. Please know that there are many people here that support you from afar as well. Wonderful memorial tribute you posted for your father.

For one who has passed, the suffering has blessedly ended and the next chapter in an eternal journey begins. In this, there is a mixture of both joy and sorrow we call grief. The word is inadequate to meet the occasion but we use it because all other words fail us. I have great sorrow for you. Some times death is like a liberation of our troubles. And when did love have whant do not see them suffer. You know a man of little experience to others as tears, I believe that this makes the wisdom of the heart. Now they need warming, words and prayers for the heat every day of their journey. May it be the heat of their needs.
