Description
An old iron gate from a 18th-century Venetian villa at Noventa, a village just outside Padova at late afternoon. A line of bare poplar trees mimicking the iron bars and the pale shadows on the arches are a perfect stage for these last autumn days.

Beautiful gate and stunning capture! Wonderful lines, colors, and light. I like the contrast between the turquoise colors of the wall and the purple tones of the view beyond the gate. It's like an entryway into a magical kingdom. The bare trees on the other side of the gate really add to the magic. Excellent capture!

Fabulous capture! i love door/gates and this is a wonderful example. the background of the bare trees adds so much..trees i leaf wouln't have been so effective.
