I've noticed that too. In pictures I took with my son, James, in Galveston, I saw one legged and no legged gulls, that seemed well fed. It's amazing that they do so well. I don't think I caught any standing. The ones I captured were flying after the bread that James was throwing. There were quite a few which makes me wonder how it happens, if it is through contact with man or other animals. Excellent shot! I like the grouping and the head tilts.

UNIQUE shot, jocko! When one thinks about 'one' leg, it probably doesn't matter much when the bird is FLYING. GRINS. Also, instead of it going, HOP, HOP!, it just goes HOP!! WINK.

What a beautiful picture! The gulls seem to laugh. They look so very friendly. Could it be, that guy has his left leg withdrawn? Super cute shot, Jocko!
