Description

Greetings everyone. My thanks to all of you who have recently taken the time to view my gallery and leave behind the odd kind remark. Or the kind odd remark in some cases. Your words and patronage are much appreciated For today, I was rather hoping to have a new Poser or Vue rendering to present. Alas, as fate would have it, none of them have co-operated with me. Which is to say that my renderings have been crashing and producing no results - cue avatar. And, just as I have been diligently developing not just one but two (2) new installments from the Chronicles Of Dystopia. For those who can't wait, the DT4V is officially unveiling its new livery and the cats are being cats. Curses! CURSES! Foiled by Postem! But never fear, I have a fall back position. I took this photo last spring. Feeling adventuresome that evening, I accepted the inspiration from a contemplative toad named Pete. He had taken up residence in the front garden for a time. Seeking his toad's eye view, I placed my camera on the lowest step to the front porch. I took a few shots of the walkway leading through my viola clogged garden. Good thing I just happen to love violet and purple. Well, I love all colours and the first thing that took me was the colours of this scene. Then something else got my attention. It is interesting what a change of perspective can do. I don't know how many times I've walked (or trampled) through this area since moving here so many years ago. But I've always taken this spot to be so mundane - I'm not much of a gardener. But now I look at it from Pete's perspective. It becomes a grand boulevard skirting the boundaries of a great urban forest. One might half expect to see a hart or stag bounding into the roadway with nothing more than a silent burst of wind to betray its arrival to the unwary. Or, allowing my imagination to fly farther, perhaps a link point from one of the books of Atris in the Myst series. One of those fanciful worlds in a perpetual state of twilight dedicated to capturing a mood. Enjoy and have a great weekend everybody.

~Great capture and perspective!~ I feel for you with the crashes...DAZ has become quite uncooperative with me this week...I have completely given up on one scene...DAZ refuses to render it! Oh well, and off to make another with my fingers crossed that I can get at least one render before crashing! Good luck with yours! :)

A super night time capture and I love your story to go with it. Pete really does have a great view and it is no wonder he sings about it.
