Fantastic shot Alan and if you look right of centre you can just see where I shot my 'Down the track' from!! This is really beautiful, a pity the frost is all gone.

oh, a splendid shot of a grand tree's overhang, and its majestic dominant grunk. All articulated in the white-blue-grays of winter snow. Lush ground beneath, and you always show us the undergrowth---with snow---like primal plants or downy growths that cushion the whole earth. A very protective pov, and the hues---highlighted by those blues in the background sky---are beautiful. If this is one of your commonly visited sights, you live in an area of great beauty.

When I come to your gallery after an absence it is always so hard to choose just 3. I'm still not sure which images the other 2 will be, but this one I knew from the first millisecond of seeing, would be one. I love your tree, and this capture of it and its home, is gorgeous. Wonderful POV. The nearness and detail of the trunk dominate this image as the tree dominates the field and hedges. I love the texture of the bark and the patterns of the overhanging branches. Beautiful composition! The eye follows the hedge to two trees, one unremarkable in this moment the other a shaggy beast that made me think of Colombo (granted, my mind does odd flits on occasion). I love the lines of the near and distant hedges. Excellent lighting! On the left the branches open to a world where the cold winter sun illuminates the sky enough to show pale blue and stripes of white clouds. On the right the fog still rules and obscures the distant hills. Superb image!
