Description

On top of the same 18th-century villa in a wealthy village just outside Padova, Noventa, a number of stone ladies and gentlemen decorate the edges of the roofs. While they aren't currently dwelling on the roofs as they once used to do, these stone people still merrily populate gardens and parks. They are craftily carved by local artisans and can be seen showing off in the workshops' yards, waiting for customers to get in love with them. Thanks for your kind comments.

Your work is always so rich and sumptuous and this is no exception to that really marvelous precedent. I really like the POV here and the sense of mood you get from the light and the shadow and the texture of the stone. Your title is perfect as well...though I miss-read it and thought it was disheveled stone bells? Funny how you just glance past something and edit it as you read it, but the editing is always slightly WRONG!!!! Sometimes I wonder about me! I'm not quite sane, ya know! Anyway...I really like this immensely and its rich in detail, color, texture, mood and a real, palpable sense of history. This is really great! I can almost smell a hint of stone and moss. I have to catch up, but I'm glad I at least started here. WOW! Marvelous.
