Yes.....It looks like a retro video game or paper mario. Why be alone in some odd world with weird shaped clouds, dark spooky forests, and light blue grass when you can have a buddy with you while your on that road.

Your Dad is a great artist friend of mine, thought I'd check this out, nice start... My impression? they both have their mouths off to the side, gives me that "two face" feel where you say one thing, but really mean another. Title is greath, simple to the point, however, body language tells me he's reaching more for her and she's to herself - I probably would of put a question mark at the end of your title.

I always liked the Mario look, complicated isn't necessarily better. Check out some of the propaganda art of the 30's and 40's. it was simple yet visually striking.

I love this comic; the style is refreshing in its simplicity and honest to the true art of cartooning. It's easy to use technology to produce amazing special effects, but to draw from the mind to the eye is the true art. I don't remember who but someone said 'a child is born knowing how to draw.. we only forget when we grow up and have to be re-taught.'
