Vance Johnson, Mark Jackson, Ricky Natiel... have any idea who these guys were? LOL... well, they're all crying over their old team these days, just like the fans and owner - lol cool image... ya ever try that thing where you blur your vision and three d items pop out at ya, had to try it - lol... it kinda worked - lol... middle character looks like a lioness, character on the right looks like a skull with x's for eyes and has ears, the one on the left looks like a panther.

Eye teasing complexity of interwoven textural noodlings creating the impression of a trilogy of implied visages of the friendly facial variety. Suppose this would have been too long for a title. REALLY like this one!

Btw, if "three amigos" is a title of something besides the hollywood movie, I don't know it. But the image is an amazing interweave of forms, some of them coagulating to create these three primal faces---evoking primal masks, native/indigenous masks, something from the world of Rite and Ceremony, and speaking of something sacred & arcane. It's always amazing how you evoke that out of highly woven lines & textures, some of the lines (around the 'heads') being very thin & bright, some of them being outlines for bands, etc. And the overall patterns weave in & out of each other as they coalesce to form these masks, these heads. As you do in these complex primal pieces, you have color schemes---here with strong pinks & violets & reds---and they move in & out of each other musically. An elaborate improvisation that's very ordered all the same, and the intricacies reminiscent of the old Celtic traceries and even of life in a cell or petrie dish. More of your highly intricate visual fugues in the Gimp. Have been recently hearing "A Love Supreme" (coltrane) and somehow this style could be a visual for any number of his complex & highly expressive lines...Martin Short, Chevy Chase & (I forgot the other actor) would be confounded by this; this is 3 amigos from the primal past. Really fine work, Mandi.
