... at the End of the World,
when the night was lighted by the moon's soft rays, and the woods were sweet with the odor of the flowers, then the Elves creeping from their holes and held a festival in the woods. Here is a place between two worlds. Not light and not dark, not divine and not evil. To this place came the elves of light, the tree elves, flower elves and fruit elves. They too danced and made merry. But when the moonlight faded away and the day began to break, then the elves scampered back to their holes.
This is the elven maid Amarisa, the female main character of my story, who protects her homelands.
