Description
Mist, rain, winds, calm and sunshine! The weather on an April day in Cornwall. In that order too, which was rather nice! I really don't mind how bad it starts out on one of my rambles, but I do oh so like it to end up okay. Which of course it always does, in my world. ^=^
This was on a cliffside walk to St. Agnus. There are too many coves to mention on that particular meander, most of them being unapproachable from the cliffside - unless of course you absail or jump down - which I don't recommend unless you are truly tired of all the oxygen breathing! The rubber dinghy, far left, probably came from the offshore yacht and and as I didn't see anyone around they may have been snorkeling, a popular passtime around this coastline.
When beaches are completely overcrowded in the summer, it is wonderful to jump into a boat - any boat - and run for the seclusion and peacefulness of one of these coves. Don't get me wrong. There's nothing better than seeing folk - especially the really young set - having a wonderful time on the sand - but I really cannot be doing with all that flesh - it makes me feel quite feeble - almost to the point of a swoon - so I just keep right on walking! Onward and upward! ^=^
The centre image aided me in my ever onward and upward endeavour! Strangest thing! Whenever I do this walk - and that's often - I am always surprised by the steepness of it! ^=^ I have the 'Baldrick' complex! The eternal optimist - always a way to survive, no matter what - or how crazy - may be the 'cunning plan'! Regardless, I walk anyway - mainly because in my case it is use it or lose it and I've already lost far too much to add more! ^=^
The last of the trio is looking down from the walkway. You will notice a tad left from centre, just over halfway down the image are what looks like steps cut into the rock, and that's exactly what they are - or were. The hewn granite above them, lying almost horizontal to the seashore, was once a keep for animals - which just shows how much of this county has been washed away over time! Scotland is rising, Cornwall is sinking slowly into the west! ^=^ But not today. Today I make for the beach again. Dogs for Barney and a little sunshine for me and my son.
Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^

I´m doing a round trip of Great Britain next year and Cornwall is on my list. Do you think I will meet any Rum smugglers with pirate hats?. Excellent triptychon.
