Description
Every year in the midst of December the candlelight night in Gouda(NL) takes place.
The triangleshaped marketplace is crowded with people from all over the world. Do you see them in front of me? The town hall and all surrounding buildings are lit exclusively by candlelight and the public lighting is put out.
In front of the town hall a 15 meter high Christmas tree is put up. The tree is a special gift from Gouda's Norwegian twintown Kongsberg.
The summit is when the Norwegian mayor lights the tree at eight pm and I was witness of this event.

Gouda is altijd prachtig. Delft deed het gisteren ook. Geen tijd gehad om te gaan kijken.. Het stadhuisje is met die van Middelburg uniek in Nederland. Het plein samen met Delft het mooiste plen van het land

Fact is I used a tripod. Who can hold the camera steady for eight seconds???. Still it is not as sharp as expected.

Beautifully captured. You could probably sharpen this in Photoshop. If not, call it a "soft focus" and leave it at that. The setting and mood are phenomenal.

ah, so we finally get to see the famous candlelight night! well, it looks amazing and very atmospheric! the mood must have been a delight.
