Description

It is well mixed media and more like 3D integration into 2D with mixed elements but well the 2 worlds seems to like each other better as before, .. but well I am going to have him this way 100% anyway ..so I guess no bad work in progress .. and I am talking about the figure and the hair match in 3d My goal is to match the reality as much as possible.. without to much work on that for the end user ... make things easy to work with ... thank you for your comments.. Cath

Wow, I couldn't tell you what part of this is not a photograph. O_O

the character was rendered with face camera and focal 500 mm to match the actual proportion and rendered with HDR light, after that the noise sample from the photo was added to the render to match and blend ..

I would have thought it was a photograph if you hadn't said otherwise - fantastic job on the realism.

Will be good if you can show us the before and after of a pure CG then with the photo blending in. Just curious to see how much the difference it would be..

You may want to experiment with rotating his eyeballs outward just a fraction. I know that importing morphs from zbrush and other tools causes problems with eyes tongue and teeth, and in this shot he looks (very slightly) cross-eyed like he's focusing on something a lot closer to him than the camera. Of course - great work in all categories of art and science. Gary

most of my renders involve children, I wish I can achieve that much of level in children renders.

Looks great Cath! He reminds me of Paul Walker from Fast and the Furious. So, when are you going to do a Vin Diesel character?

That is just, well... jaw dropping! He is hands down the best rendered character I've seen on here and if he looks half so good in my stuff, I'm pleased as well, proverbial punch! FANTASTIC!

Cath - I've watched your work progress the last few years. You are doing an amazing job! I think what Gary is seeing is due to the fact that most people never stare at a camera so directly with their eyes. Then again, for this model, being photographed by you - I can understand why his gaze was such. ;-) Keep pushing yourself! It really shows!

Lol .. I know.. thank you .. but well the eye problem was the fake reflection that create the effect trust me on that, I use the same map for both eyes for the preview and the high focal of the camera .. I know that for sure .. but well Gary is always honest with own opinion and he have right .. just in this case has nothing to do with zbrush , be happy I don;t make a lazy eye .. lol hahaha , see it as a art in general and stay positive .. critic me when I am done with him cuz until then everything will change and I want him to be perfect human not perfect 3D doll .... if you know what I am talking about ..

He is a hunk indeed, and once he crosses over completely into the 3D world, that's when jaws will really drop :) @JSGraphics: I don't think Vin is Cath's cup of tea hehe...so maybe someone will have to get off his rear & get in gear so Mr. Hunker can have some "Furious" competition.
