Description

Less stylized version of my previous post thumb_2146128.jpg - sort of how the inspiration for that one could have looked like as a real landscape, with a little cliché effects :) Vue 8.4 Complete render, a few modifications, framing & signature with Photoshop. Most of the models & texures by me, foreground pines with Onyxtree. Cranes from DAZ/Ken Gilliland. Thanks for viewing - comments always welcome and appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars *COMMENT UPDATE* Some of you mention the lighting, as if there's a light source behind the camera. There's only one lightsource, the sun. I never use other than that for plain outdoor scenery. The effect on the reeds is caused by shadowmaps & backlight material effects. Personally I like it :)

mmm. i actually like the stylized version better, though this one is great, too. the lighting doesn't seem like it's from the wrong direction to me, but it does seem unrealistic somehow. in the background it looks right but in the foreground it makes me think of stage lighting for some reason.

I love both versions. I painterly effect of the fist is quite delicate, subtle and beautiful while this version is glowing with light, life and beauty. A=A Thanks also for making the reeds, I snatched them up as soon as I saw them.

I'm working backwards to clear my backlog. This is superb - not clichéd at all. Excellent attention to detail, and I love the lighting.

I laughed at Forevernyt's comment: "I think you're just showing off now!" If I had a large house in need of great art I would hang the simplified, stylized one in a hallway or entrance room, and this one I would hang in a gallery or study.
