Description

a christmas dedi to my dear friend Leilana, i hope you like it sweetie. the character is the Ice Elf she shared with me last year. bg used by permission. and i hope everybody is having a super holiday season. i hit a curb in our company van today,, AGAIN, once last winter and now. they refuse to buy snow tires for it, soon as a inch of snow accumilates it slips everywhere, so i might loose my job next week, and most likely have to leave rendo cause will not be able to afford an internet connection. i'll really miss this place and all my friends if that happens. merry christmas eh? lol steve the sign design is by Capelito / Maike Ice Dove hair by: Swam bird psd is by: Scifibabe / Lori i also had to create the shadows in this image, w/o the use of the light shadowing, they never look right on a 2d background. and would have not conformed to the street lamps in the bg.

Thank you for your comments on my last image: thumb_2146603.jpg

A beautiful evening scene and your work with the shadows looks as though it was done in Poser they are really well done. I have trouble getting the shadows using a 2D background too. I will keep my fingers crossed that you wont lose your job.

If the company you work for would fire you for an accident that is a result of their failure to provide proper safety equipment they are not a good company to work for. I hope you look for a better job even if you are not fired. They are VERY fortunate you were not seriously injured. This could make for a go law suit against them. I hope you do not have injuries that have not surfaced yet. That sometimes happens. Anyway, I like this image VERY much Steve. It is very beautiful and serene. Excellent work.

Really nice work and the shadow works great. One-they can't fire you for an accident, especially if no ticket was issued. Second-you could sue them for endangerment by not providing a safe vehicle and third-if they're that big of douchebags, I'd say it's time to start looking elsewhere, despite the crappy economy. Good luck. I'm glad to see you keep a sense of humor in these situations. I'd guess with your positive outlook on life something good will happen. Merry Christmas.

Fantastic render and dedication, Steve, brilliant work as always! Sounds like your company is run by some real assholes. I'd damn sure haul thier butts into court if you get terminated for hitting a curb - especially after you've requested snow tires, and have been denied. I'd definitely be in contact with both the labor board and the Colorado DMV. We don't get nearly the snow here that you guys in Colorado do, but even with what we get here, if you get stuck or lose control on a major street because your vehicle doesn't have snow tires, you are up for a pretty stiff fine. I'd sure hate to see you have to leave, you would be sorely missed by many, many of your friends!

Beautiful image! Wonderful atmosphere, color, and light! I love the mist, the touches of red, and the glow around the lamps. I missed the chipmunk the first time I looked. He and the bird are great touches. Excellent shadows! Lovely image, cold but very magical. My best wishes to you regarding your job.

oh no, I am begging Santa Clause to help and keep all my fingers crossed for you, this is unfair if it would happen, cause they have to see for winter tires, it is not your fault... this is setting me up really, how people can be so unfair... If I would live nearby I would tell them my thoughts personally and with no doubt. Hope this beautiful angel you created will stand gard over you too! (sorry for editing this and causing 3 mails to you, had so many typos in it, guess it must have been, because I was so incensed :))

Looks like a very sad image to fit your mood. Agree with others that if they try to fire you shoot back with threat of a lawsuit cause occupational health and saftey has rules about making workers worke under unsafe conditions. You are not working in a 3rd world country (yet).
