Mount Snow II
After posting the first Mount Snow photo, guess what? More snow! I took these while doing errands in town last Friday, Dec. 17.
The upper photo is the original Mount Snow on Dec. 17, about 1 meter higher than in the previous photo. And, it had snowed on top of that!
The lower left photo is from the main square in the center of town. That's a 2 meter high pile the children are having fun on. The Cathedral of Lund (from 1085) is visible in the background (the last Romanesque cathedral to be built in Europe, before the Gothic style became prevalent).
The lower right photo is another 2 meter high mountain, behind the cathedral.
Friday evening was graduation dinner at the school in Malmö. The train got stuck in the Malmö rail yard for 1½ hours due to frozen, snowed in switches. I and some of the students came very late, but, there was still food available. :)
And guess what I woke up to today? Another 12 cm./5 inches have fallen during the night. Not so easy to walk in, or shall I say slide about in! There's a LOT of ice underneath! :(
Enjoy! At least you're not out sliding about in it! :)

Lovely shots of winters glory.

Lovely shot. In The Netherlands fell about 15cm of snow last night. There is a layer of about a foot now. I haven't seen these kind of 'mountains' yet but that seems a matter of time... Winter reigns Europe (and America I guess).

And I though we had problems with about 4". If a pile of snow that big appeared in Wallasey...they'd close the town :-) It's good to see 'proper snow'. I've tried in the past to get my Wife to join me on a weekend Winter break in your part of the world, but she hates snow so the Winter break would have to be in July :-) Well I'll keep trying, maybe next year.
