Description

This is the 3rd major overhaul I've put into this model over the last several years. I think it's looking pretty good this year! I have only posted one other image in this gallery before and I just read the guidelines so I need to add some info. This is a model which is a combination of Amapi, Carrara and then a lot of paint job stuff using Paint Shop Pro. There are details here in the bump channel (is that modeling?). So the primary hull (saucer section) is mostly a spline object. The secondary hull was a nurbs object initially created in Amapi but I have modded it in Carrara since then using booleans. I didn't want to but I've moved and my software is in storage and I can't get to it (RATS!). The engine case is also an Amapi mesh. All the rest of the details is Carrara. I'm now in the death walk of pain to get the textures where I want them. This the second MAJOR overhaul for this model and I'm going to try and get more of the details correct this time around. The scale of the model is dorked but it's close enough and it looks good so I'm going to live with it. -Kix
