Location: S-Bahnhof Hackescher Markt; Berlin - Mitte
Hi again!
It was dark and cold when I took this pic - but imagine a warm summer´s night, when hundreds of people sit at these tables, having a meal and a glas of sparkling red wine - this place is one of the finest for Berlinians and their guests....(and expensive, too)
The place here is an old market place, called "Hackescher Markt" - and this is the old railroad station at the right side, one of two in their original shape, built around 1880. The railway runs on a viaduct, and in the bows of the viaduct is place for fine restaurants, shops, galleries, pubs and many other things.
The light artists had the plan, to illuminate not only the old station, but the restaurants and the special atmosphere of candelights, too. A good idea in my opinion.

This is magical and romantic. I can imagine people here...lovers, friends, families out enjoying the night. I love the colors and the sense of stillness. You get to enjoy the place this way and what an enjoyable (if cold) place this is. Ah...it's like a promise of summer. When summer comes, you should take pictures here again, and then stop for a drink or a dessert. This is a great shot. I love the series and look forward to catching up on it.
