Description

Walked from 8.30 till 16.00 (4pm) yesterday.. It was a grey day..(not a break in the clouds at all) but fantastic.. with so much new snow. It is about to snow again now.. Will go out in the afternoon again

About questions.. brewgirlca : When did NL had this much snow ? - We had lot's of snow earlier this year. January-March. Before that it was 2003 and before that it must have been 1997. brewgirlca and kjer_99 : Is there scating on canals ? - With all the snow in the west, the ice on the canals does not get thick enough for scating.. Snow works as a blanket... but there are many kids and adults on Snowboards, ski's and such. We are a city in the Dunes.. So.. enough Hills to play on... Nuisum : Don't see many collages !. - True.. event though it is an ideal way to show several photo's in one upload.. See full size for details -=- Yesterday there were hardly any cars driving around.. too slippery .. so the streets were for the walking people !!! Unique.. That is a first timer since 1979 I think... -10 outside now.. Almost -20 celcius in other parts of the Country and much colder in central and East Europe.. It is a unique winter... Love It .. -=- In this photo : Some examples of 19th century building styles in The Hague.. Down under in the middle.. Peace Palace (now United Nations), build in 1913. On the left of it, the Royal archive. The street with people on it leads to the Kuhrhaus Hotel, build in 1885, 1887 and 1978 (rebuildings/restorations after fires and such) The photo on the left on the same level is the Beach.. it was white and silent yesterday... Pure and beautiful with the thick layer of snow... The Christmastree is also standing at the sea.. (boulevard)

you bring us this nice little city near.last time i was there must have been in 1970-1971 some time in this freaky hippie area.but considering the state i was in i would not recognise the hague at all i guess lol.
