Description

The European Starling (Sturnus vulgaris) is insectivorous, and typically consumes insects including caterpillars, moths, and cicadas, as well as spiders. While the consumption of invertebrates is necessary for successful breeding, starlings are omnivorous and can also eat grains, seeds, fruits, nectars, and garbage, if the opportunity arises... This morning, I was absolutely delighted to discover that one of my bird pictures was selected for LWitG:

I completely agree with MrsLubner. Right at this moment my garden is ringing with starling chatter, perched high in one of my Scots Pines. I love their chatter and they are very welcome, along with all the others, to my feeding tables. Really fabulous shot! Perfect! ^=^

Très belle photo comme toujours. Un très bon piqué et une belle mise en situation. J' en avais pris un en train de "chanter" il y à quelques temps, je l' enverrai bientôt.
