Great work Glenda. The snow on the branck is a wonderful touch. and the overall festive color scheme fits the season perfectly. I'm guessing your bug is hoping he wont become the bird's Christmas dinner.

From the moment the bird's legs shake well the branch through the snow ... chilled insect can have time to escape the flash of beak? Apart from Christmas ... certainly not!

The color palette for this is perfect. I get the sense of a freeze frame exactly at the transition between flight and rest. That instant of achieving balance in a complex three dimensional space. Also, I love the beautiful plumage. excellent work Glenda!
