I first discovered photography at the age of 8or 9 when i was given an old box brownie and after a couple of years I progressed to a Kodak folding camera I remember it took a size 127 film.
My father built me a dark room in the loft and I spent many hours learning about processing and printing my films, both black and white and colour. when marrige and family came along time for the processing side of photography had to take a back seat.  After 50 years working we retired to Chard in Somerset southwest England (we think it could be the best part of the world). About 3 years ago we got into digital photography , recently my son Ian who has a site on renderosity (iambrose) talked me into joining, I am so glad he did as it's so nice to read the comments and see how other people view your pictures.Â

Welcome back Wally and a brilliant pic to boot.

Lots of snow. It's beautiful, and also looks cold. It is brutally cold here, but no snow. Just rain. :o)

A beautiful Holiday scene! The winter is so cold and hostile at times, and yet so wonderful all the same! I love the frost…. such a delicate looking "decorative" topping :) Marvellous POV here!

Excellent to see an image from you! Brrrrr! While I can look at the evergreen and imagine it warmly wrapped in a fleecy coat, when I look at the little brown leaf, all I think is brrrrrrr! Wonderful capture and postwork! I like the white of the heavily coated branches against the dark green of the slightly protected branches in the interior. Beautiful lines and patterns. The forked branch looks like it is displaying the victory sigh. At least I hope it is a victory sign. :) Beautiful, and very cold image!
