Up! Up! And away!
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's our latest missile defense system!
My idea of Superman's heat vision was always that it should be more like a focused light than the typical red laser beam sometimes shown in the comics. In this composition I was trying to show that the beams coming from the Man of Steel's eyes are both brighter and hotter than the sun - hot enough to ignite the oxygen in the air itself.
