this is a flower i've been drawing since i was 12. was drawn on a medium stock drawing pad a friend gave me for my birthday using a cheap paper mate pen ^^; The story: Went to a club/bar near Tampa international airport they wouldn't let me in(dress codes i was unaware of for this place id never been too) came to see Dan Aykroyd perform a skit and promoting this new alcohol of his. sat on a bench of another restaurant nearby and closer to the place where he would come through and waited 2 hours+ for him to show up. while i waited i drew this. it was low lighting outside and i just took my time listening to the music from all the restaurants around me and drew for about an hour. usually I'm pretty nervous about a good piece of paper and using pen cause lol there's just no turning back if you screw up but.. I've drawn variations of this flower for literally 1/2 my life so guess i was feeling confident it wouldn't be screwed up =P when he finally got there there was no crowd except for shop owners that were there to greet him so walked up to him as he was heading toward the club and got to shake his hand ^^; being a fan all my life has a certain effect on ya when you meet someone of that talent and it was an honor to meet him even if i didn't get to see him perform.
