Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

"Hello, operator, I keep ringing, but there's no answer. I'm all alone here and I think there's someone downstairs in the house. I've got to talk to the police!" Stellar reflective texture in this fine nighttime ocean image, Marilyn.

I love a good double-haiku, especially evocative modern ones like this. I love the image that goes with it. I think you're re-inventing the artform here, as your image and the double-whammy haiku duo really work perfectly together. I'm up later than I should be and I'm off to bed after writing this, but I have to say that the words and image here are the best way to close out this day. I love it...the tone is plaintive and declarative all at once. What a balance! This rocks! Yeah, it's a goody!

Very nice! The combination of the words and picture are quite haunting.

Beautiful words! There is no sound, when you are way out there, alone on the ocean. Dana
