I always like this metalshops. All the different colors of the anvil. It looks as if the blacksmith is just a moment away to drink a cup of coffee.

Yes, this was once a working anvil but is no longer. Perhaps it will be again. I would venture those hand-made chain links (holding the public back) were most likely done on that anvil, and by someone who was good at it. The loops are correctly sized and formed as are the twists in the shanks. No forge, no tongs, no cooling tub all spell no work being done here anymore.
