Description

A Beechcraft Staggerwing taxis slowly down the runway, before turning around to face the wind. I wanted to get a sense of a late 1930 small airport, plus show off Digimation's wonderful and very reasonably priced Beechcraft G17S Staggerwing model. The G17S is one of my most favorite aircraft. If I was going to own a classic airplane it would be my choice. (In your dreams, Miller!) heh! The picture also shows another wonderful aircraft model from Renderosity; arlivre's "Classic Monoplane" which I intend to show off in a later render. You can get them here: Staggerwing: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=82316&vendor=645314 (Cost: $9.99) Monoplane: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=81235&keyword=Classic+Monoplane (Cost: $8.00). I'll say this much; you are not going to find a more detailed model at such a low price anywhere else. Period! Having said all that, though, I am less than happy with the way the render looks. It is in the lighting. The Staggerwing looks too dark in some places and too bright in some others. The gasoline truck looks too washed out as well. Tried all sorts of lighting arrangements and this was the best I could manage. Ah well. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. Always appreciate that as well as the comments and encouragements. I wish you all a wonderful and blessed coming year. Jeremy CREDITS: Vue7 Pro Studio, Poser6, PhotoShopPro5. Set: Eugenia's "Small Airport3" (Cornucopia3d). Aircraft: "Beechcraft G17S Staggerwing" by Digimation (Renderosity)and arlivre's "Classic Monoplane" (Renderosity). People (Pilot and Truck driver): DAZ P4Man Lo-Poly. Cars: "'37 Chevy Coupe" by Dalmatiner (ShareCG) and "1936 Chevrolet" modeled by Donald Sielke (DAZ). Sky: "All Aboard" from Robin Kleb's "Good Cloud Day" atmosphere collection (Cornucopia3d).

Looks very good to me. You could always blame the lighting issues on the clouds in your sky

Beautiful scene. I looks like the older part of a small town airport not far from where I grew up.

I cant help but salivate every time I see a clasic radial engine beauty. Unfortunately I remember seeing soo many real ones decades ago. How I wish I could get a pilots license, even tho I cant even drive anymore. Keep up the great work
