Description

Octopus creature modeled in zbrush , rendered in 3ds max, and composited in photoshop. Photoshop was the main workhorse behind this image as it includes loads of compositing and digital painting techniques (water splashes, some waves) I was unsure where to post it, but, the subject, octopus is 3d, that's why I chose 3d section.

OH, my! So THAT'S what happened to the Sydney Opera House! :) This is nothing short of excellent! Not only the octopus, the water is also fantastic. The whole thing could pass off as a photo. I wonder how much time you put into this. Excellent work, and keep it up! :-)

@kits there were over 50 layers, and I'm not counting many others that were merged together at some point to reduce the file size :D @KnightWolverine Happy New Year to you to!! And all the rest here as well. @doriano_ I'm planing another one, this one should have giant crab in it, also exiting sea or some water.. Thx for watching and commenting!!

This is truly amazing work! The waves and their movement are incredible. Your work on the octopi (Kraken) seems very realistic. Simply wonderful and I wish you a wonderful New Year!
