Description
On November 25, 2010, I posted a photo of the X2000 high speed passenger train from the locomotive end. Here's a photo of another X2000 from the other end.
Sadly, there was a crash with an X2000 yesterday, as it was being delivered from the train shed to Malmö station for its run to Stockholm. Fortunately, only the driver was on board, and he suffered only minor injuries. This can not be said for the poor train.
For a photo cavalcade of the accident, see the following web site belonging to the largest newspaper in southern Sweden-
http://www.sydsvenskan.se/malmo/article1342640/Se-lasarbilderna-fran-tagkraschen.html
Not a good start of the New Year for Sweden's State railway, in addition to the snow and ice that have been troubling them the past month, wreaking havoc with schedules, trains stuck in the snow and even derailments.
Photo my me, November 22, 2010.
