Shadows, try going into properties of the light in your scene and checking the shadows box Angel (I got Poser 8 up on my PC. It can't be that different for poser 7) Bear in mind I've only ever done one render in P8, so I probably don't know what I'm talking about!! LOL :)

If you are using .pngs on the background you could always use "drop shadow" under layer styles in Photoshop.

cool outfit mask combo. them rats are so cool..

Shadows should be checked under each lights properties tab by default. you have a chouce between shadowmapped (default) or raytraced. You also need to go into render settings and raise the render quality. by default it's set too low for shadows. you also need to go into manual settings and hit the [aquire from auto] button. if your quality settings are high enough, shadows and raytracing should be selected.

What Madbat said, Angel.. you might also want to use points in a scene like this. What would be cool would be to (since the exterior looks like bright moonlight ) would be to put a light behind her (point or infinite or you could try a spot) in a blue/white and let that outline her figure, the axe and her rat pets. Then use some lower intensity points in front (warmer toned) to bring out the rats and her features. I have poser 2010, but.. if poser 7 has it, and I think it does, you can set on points the distance end on the points. Set it to where it just catches what you want it to catch and doesn't extend behind her to light the scenery beyond. Just some ideas.. I love playing with lights.

Try DS again... rofl. Looks like you got some good advice in the posts, hope it works for you. Your Poser renders have been getting steadily better but I'd be wearing steel toed boots if that was me... :D
