This is a bit of an update. From humble beginnings my photography is steadily improving.I started out with a Kodak point and shoot camera and progressed to a Sony A-200 Digital SLR camera.Other equipment that i currently have is the following: Tamron 70-300mm lens. I like the wing blur but perhaps a bit less, maybe 1/320 s or 1/500 s. It is very hard to get a focus lock on these guys, for each one I get in focus I throw about 150 away. Keep taking lots and lots of shots. Well done on this one! I have learned that many of these fly against a slight breeze, picking off small insects swept along in the air, and they often circle back and follow the same track many times if the breeze is slight. Perhaps that might help you a bit.
