Description

Caught in the act! At least this time they were too busy to hide away and I was able to get a shot of them. They have an uncanny fear of the camera lens, hiding behind grass or stalks of wheat. Two Milkweed locusts (Phymateus morbillosus) in the Swartland, Western Cape, South Africa. Enjoy the day (38°C predicted here today) Clive

@ Garageland...they sure are real and creapy! hehe Clive, this is a stunning shot! You know, I search for these often, but could not get one this far. Seems your insects down at Cape Town is more colourfull than our dung beatles though.
