Updated Nov 2010: Welcome to my Home Page on Renderosity. I started creating digital art using Poser and Photoshop in 2008. Since then I've created quite a number of pictures and as an extra bonus I've made some cool friends along the way. It's been great being part of the Renderosity community.  Here's a little info about me. I'm married with two kids and a cat (who thinks he's one of my kids).  Much as I would love to do digital artwork fulltime, I can't ... I have to squeeze in the time between working at my job and taking care of kids and the house.  However, at least I do have my evenings (usually after the kids are asleep) and weekends to indulge in my passion for creating digital art. Hope you enjoy the results of my labor! Well, thanks for dropping by. I appreciate your support and encouragement.- Scifibabe (Lori)

Lori, I've just seen this image and read the news about your Mom and am at a loss for words. This is so sad and painful for your family and you are all in myb prayers during this time. NIce work on this scene, you are amazing to create such beauty when I know how much you must hurt inside. Hugs

This is very beautiful! The colors are so wonderful in it and the way the clothes fits too, just impeccable. I don't know you, not sure if I have visited your gallery before, but I saw about your mom on Steve (eekdog's) page. I will be thinking of you and your family though and praying that your mother will defy the odds. I hope for the time (however long) that you will have good memories.

My Mother had Lung Cancer, they did surgery and life expectancy was one year... she made it a year and a half... come February 9th, she will have been gone 10 years.... IF I could go back to those last few days I had with her, I would do my best to keep smiling and let her know how much I loved her. I was in shock and not as talkative.... Talk it up with your Mom every chance you get... when you're not with her, grab a tablet or a tape recorder and make notes of questions you want to ask her - Mine? I would of asked my Mom for recipes... Make the most of your time with her, put a smile on her face, let her know you'll be ok after she's gone.... Tell her anything and everything, cause after she's gone, you don't want to feel like you should of done this or that.... expect her time to come... I did not, and I felt so lost when she was gone. I still do.... right now, I'm in Grieving, a cousin that lived with us and then next to us this last year passed away at 37 years old. We saw him the day before he passed.... We are his only family in Colorado, so we handled moving his stuff our of his apartment... I just finished today, set the key on his kitchen cabinet and said I love you Johnny and walked out of his apartment for the last time - IT WAS SO FINAL... It's not easy thinking he's in a better place and I shouldn't be crying, but ya gotta get thinking positive and believe.... Does your Mom have a Will? If not, Help her with it. I'm sorry you will experience what many of my friends here on Renderosity have experienced - the loss of a parent... My Wife and I Both lost our parents before leaving our 30's - it doesn't seem fair, but be happy your Mother is about to experience what we all will some day and when her anniversary date comes around, tell yourself that that is your Mother's birth date into Heaven.... Your brain will have plenty of time to rest after she's gone, so use your brain and think of all the things you need aswered, all the things you want to say... Tell her thank you for being there for you and being your Mother...I hope you will learn and use what experience I've passed on to you.

lori, i am so terribly sorry to hear about your mom...you certainly do have your share of "struggles." but, God never places burdens on His children that they cannot carry and bear. i will pray for your mom and hope that her final days are filled with love and light.
