Its a magnificent monument and made more poignant by the snow. Rough translation would be "And it was delightful so the work was easy." Excellent capture.

I take many pictures in graveyards for textures, so I doubt if you are being disrespectful.now people all over the world can see the peoples names and wonder about their life and who they were

This is such a gorgeous shot, and I love the mood. This is no ordinary grave: it's a marker of some importance, and that's what makes it so compelling. I love the stone work, the snow, the statues with the green patina...everything is so perfect in this shot and on full zoom it is quite stunning. This is brilliant work.
