Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

'Because the fisherman is that mad bloke from Australia who has been sitting in the sun too long. He has heat stroke and has forgotten that you actually need water to catch fish'!

What a fun image! People do the darndest things. (Whaleman is correct ... it's not a dory.)

After seeing Andrews cow in the tree, this on fits in well - must be off to rescue him! Clive

Our dories are pointy! this is what we call a pram. Super eye catching entrance.

Whatever type of floater it is, it looks great!

Apparently, the FIRED Captain of the EXXON VALDEZ is NOW the operator of said boat? (WINK). EXCELLENT shot, beachzz!

I actually prefer to think of the question: why aren't there more boats in trees? But that's just me. And yeah, this is an amazing and funny shot. I also learned that it's not a dory. I suspect it's not an outrigger canoe, but I could be wrong about that. This is such an excellent find. It makes me giggle.

Now I know where the Flying Dutchman ended up! I wonder if there's a story behind this dory, which you excellently framed. That said, lots of bright color, texture and definition in this pic of the wayward boat, Maz!
