Description
Leaving Albany I planned on taking Highway 58 to my next destination, Crater Lake. But Albany had one more gift for me. A nice lady at the Albany Visitor's Center had suggested Highway 138. It was twice the distance but is one of Oregon's scenic highways. Traveling east from Roseburg the road parallels the north fork of the Umpqua River and offers some spectacular scenery. With all this bounty I just had to stop from time to time and take a walk in the woods.
