Description
As promised - a picture of the new railway bridge in Caversham Road.
There is also an excellent time-lapse movie on YouTube of the removal of the old spans right up to the track laying on the new span.
The road is now open again and normality(?) reigns supreme once more. :-)

Thanks a lot for the post and for the YouTube reference. The YouTube video is the funniest I've seen in quite a while. The workmen look like busy little ants. It's interesting to see the progress accelerated like this. The removal of the old bridges along with the installation of the new is quite impressive. I wonder how they could get that huge prefabricated bridge through the city, considering its width and length. I have photos of similar operations from 1983 when the 2 rail bridges and a road bridge over the tracks were replaced in Lund, south Sweden. Thanks again! Keep up the good work! :-)
