a male great green bush-cricket männliches Grünes Heupferd September 2010 It did not have long life. One of my sand lizards ate up it before my eyes!!! The lizard is only twice as large as the grasshopper .... wish you a wonderful Saturday!!!! ....many thanks for the nice remarks and favorites on my previous photos! ***************PLEASE OPEN THE FULL-SIZED IMAGE WINDOW***************

Great ZOOM, I think this might be what crawled up my pant leg today... I just thought grasshopper, but I kinda shook it out and threw it because I didn't know what had crawled up my leg :) I was trimming some unwanted vines. :)

What a lovely capture. This is quite a handsome specimen. Apparently he tasted good too, at least to a sand lizard. I love the details in this shot. With legs like that, it's no wonder this isn't an insect species of fashion supermodels. Human fashion supermodels would kill for long legs like that!
