I always find myself amazed with the absolutely scarce numbers of people in cities who look up. It seems that city dwellers only ever look up when they're not in their own city. Funny how that works. I notice that with the people in this shot: natives all too familiar with West 44th, going One Way to the right, it would seem. It's almost as if there's no need to look up, to see anything other than the lowermost reaches of a very tall city. This is quite a poignant shot. Well seen and I love the irony of it. This is great and I'm glad I saw it.
