Description

Just a quick pin-up tonight. I've been busy the last couple of days experimenting with several different graphics applications - Apophysis, Bryce, and of course Poser and Photoshop. Every time I start playing around with these goodies, I learn more. I've come to the conclusion that I've not even scratched the surface of what these programs are capable of. If I only had more time... I had a chance to visit with an old schoolmate Saturday, visiting from L.A. He does a lot of work in the entertainment industry out there. He mentioned that he was putting together a demo CD, and needed artwork for the cover. To make a long story short, I may have a chance to do some commissioned artwork for his project. I'm hoping.... Anyway.... This lady is Carmo, a freebie morph I picked up in the freebies section HERE. She has a wonderful, exotic look. I used the stock V4 mat to make a custom mat for Carmo - I gave it a dark, exotic texture to go along with her morph. I was pretty well pleased with the result. I didn't do a whole lot of postwork on this beyond adding a background and a bit of Apophysis, all composited in Photoshop. What do you think? I'll probably use her in a future project, of which I have several cooking (including the next page in the TNA series). Hope everyone had a great weekend, and have a great week! Thanks so much for all your support - you folks ROCK!!

I know you will do great at the art job! Hey, she looks very nice, very womanly body and you did a cool job with a suntouched skin for her. That clothing fit is impeccable! Wonderful work on that, love the tattoo as well! One tiny critique on the pose - seems slightly unbalanced to me (angle of feet, shins to hips) , but then I'm Nitpicking just a bit on that aspect. :)

I think you hit on a winner Rod. Although I don't understand the complexities of what you do, I surely appreciate a good pin-up! And I can picture you working with three computers...lightning flashing, odd machines groaning and creaking, the snapping of electric currents jumping between a variety of metal rods...and a strange poser figure...very tall, with heavy, clunky shoes and bolts protruding from his skull:-)))

Rod, don't listen to Mike, LOL!!! He's infatuated with dark, brown eyes. Fortunately I HAVE very dark brown eyes, LOL. Very nice render! Love the way her clothes fit and the shoes are really nice too! Wow, that is great news on the possible art commission. Who knows...maybe you art will become so in demand you can quit your job and become a full-time graphic artist!! Working in your PJs, coffee at the ready at all times...not bad!

I like your apo backdrop...interesting treatment there. She kinda remionds me of an old girlfriend of mine, all she needs to do is shave her head and get a few degrees paler! No I did not go out with an albino skinhead....

That makes for a really interesting style of clothing! I like it that you can essentially design your own clothing in that program. The background works really well, too. The two complement each other quite nicely.
