Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I would have been there photographing, but not participating. I like my body heat and I don't want to go dumping it somewhere cold. In fact, I need a quick warm-me-up just thinking about this...ah yeah, a nice cup of tea. I really like the light in this, the way the sand looks warm and the vivid life. I guess it would be vivid, when its cold and everybody is swimming, their cheeks get flushed pretty quickly...before they turn blue.

'You can see the surfers in the upper left--all in full wetsuits, probably having a great laugh!!' Either that or they are getting all territorial and crabby and telling the kooks to get off the beach!
