Description

Haven't been posting here lately, got lost in flickr land and facebook. But just felt like posting and browsing here today. Been getting into bird photography lately. Photographed this beauty last spring. A golden finch sporting his spring mating colors. Note that it says shot at 300mm but Olympus has a 2x factor so it really is a 600mm angle of view here - and still could use a stronger lens...... Thanks for viewing. Hope you like it!

One of the most elusive bird for me, they seem to disappear in the spring and summer when they are in thier full array of color. This is just beautiful, beautifully composed, gorgeous background colors the color of the leaves and branches add a wonderful color contrast, beautiful presentation!
