IMO Big Corporations Ruin The Movie Going experience...These new Theaters now lost all the warmth and charm of the old Mom and Pop Theaters and even the few that are still around have been converted to house Three or Four Small Theaters inside where there use to be one large theater...The Old Double Features are gone forever with the Drive-ins...You use to have fun going to the Movies..Now you feel like Cattle(pay to see your one Movie and as soon as it's finish quickly get out for the next Herd to come in)...Sure The Seats and Sound are better now, But back then with only $20 you could take your girl out to the Movies buy her a Hot dog,Popcorn,Candy and a Large Soda and still go home with change...LOL..The good ole days:)

Very funny ; great image with a message...You're right ! I hate these new theaters either huge (with a lot of noisy people...) or so small that' you'd better stay at home...I do what many people do : I buy DVD's...

Yeah, I hear you. I was just at Tron 2...good movie but I miss the old theaters, and drive ins especially.

Was thinking the same thing the other night when a movie came on TV that had an Overture, don't see those any more just a lot of adds now, no Tom & Jerry cartoons at the start.........and we used to ware an onion on our belts cause that was the style in those days.lol. Fantastic image and thoughts :)

Great picture! Ah, now those were the days ... and back to the days of the Saturday Morning Cinema for us kids - entry 6d (sixpence real money, not this decimalised crap). The New Cross Kinema (our local) became a supermarket; the New Cross Empire (Music Hall) became a petrol station ... 'tis a very differnt world nowadays; you don't leave your kids at the cinema with their sixpenny piece and trust them to come home on time; in fact many kids aren't allowed to play in the street nowadays, a sad reflection on our world.
