Description

------------- The Raptors – Mord of the Brunnen Daerth

Looking in the mirror, Kami couldn’t quite believe it. She concentrated again and back she went, from the purplish-gray skin of a pale Drow to the pale violet, nearly bone white skin of the Mord. Her hair, white and silky, long and flowing; her eyes lost in milky white pools were pained by the slightest exposure to the light from her staff. Her clothes were changed as well. Gone was her white tuallik and skirt, her red and gray boots and cape. Now, she wore little more than straps of gold and black spider silk, high topped boots bedecked in gold plates and Drow adamant buckles. Her staff, her beautiful holy staff, looked like some horrid corruption, a demon skull at the top, surrounded in cupritite wings inset with glowing green fluxstone. Still, she had to admit, there was something seductive in her visage, some hidden part of herself perhaps. Needless to say, she’d have to use those seductive looks if this went right. No doubt Jay would not appreciate that. She’d just have to live with it. They were probably all going to have to do things they wouldn’t like to do before this was done.

She was now Khamaerina Thekenviir, a Mord Elf Witch in disguise. Knowing that knowledge of the Mord was as rare as the Mord themselves, discovering her true nature would be a distraction for those who would be looking for something to dig up on the Brunnen Daerth. She had been trained in the wild by an old Drow witch, and had no family of name. The transformation spells by Lady Ann had changed more than her appearance. Her magic, her magical sight, her magic resistance, even the cursed life force that would immediately return as an undead should she be killed,… she thought in the Splinter Kingdom Drow language, she knew all the secrets of the witch who was supposed to have trained her. She was to all tests, exactly what she appeared to be. Thus their disguises were set and their infiltration of Maellasia’s operation could commence.
