Hi Everyone, Trust all are well. Here is a look at the truck I was plowing and sanding with today. Part way into sanding a hillside driveway we noticed smoke coming from under the hood. The engine quit before I could move the truck. Sadly there was nothing we could do but get out and call for help. The fire department was so far away it took nearly a half hour to reach us. Only the truck was a total loss. I still managed a twelve hour day of work. -GB-

a sad sight! You will surely still need the car - the winter is not yet past!

Doesn't make for a fun day, I'm glad you're ok! On the other hand, good shot of it! :) Take care of yourself, GB!

Glad to hear your OK. Snow does tend to get the better of us all, if your plowing or shoveling. Just look at it this way baseball's spring training is only 5 weeks away.

Wow George! Glad you're safe!! That truck probably just saw all of the snow we got here in NH and decided it was time to get out, LOL. Hope you're able to get a new plow truck...winter ain't over yet!!!

We were sitting in front of a used car lot about to look at another car when the old van we had belched and the motor sitting between the front seats caught on fire. We jumped out as it started to flame but I remembered I had some state medical files in the front that I was bringing home to work on so I went back in. Came out with the files and stubbly hair. :-) Someone from the car lot raced out with a fire extinguisher only to find out it was empty. The fire dept. arrived about 10 minutes into it and filled the van with foam. Everything was burned up inside but the outside was fine. The seats were just springs. We carefully sat on the bare springs, cranked it up - it still ran! - and drove to another car lot and bought a nice used car. Sold the van a month later for $200. :-)

I hope it's not a personal loss - maybe with insurance you'll be driving a new one soon!

Looks like the plow and sander survived and hope that you were unharmed. Dana
