Emu chicks are raised by the male parent. Here Dad is teaching junior how to con a handout from local passers by. That's my hand at risk at lower left !!

Talk about cute! I agree they are fond of snapping at hands and fingers, but they are so skillful and luring you in. I've never seen a little one though - extra adorable! Thanks for the tidbit about the male raising the chicks - I never knew that.
